All talks start at 7.30 pm on the 2nd Thursday of the month. Doors open 45 minutes beforehand for chat, raffle ticket sales, plant sales and swaps.

* The AGM will follow the talk on 14th February and will start at 9:15pm


Annual membership is just £10 payable at the January meeting (doors will open at 6:45 pm to allow time for payments). Members enjoy a discount at Wyndley Garden Centre, valid for any day of the week and also 50% discount on Suttons Seed orders. Do bring along your friends - entry for visitors is just £2

Summer Show

A vegetable and flower show is held annually in August. The 2019 Show will be held at the Bentley Heath Community Centreon Saturday 11th August. There are classes for various vegetables and flowers, flower arranging, cookery and sections for children’s entries. Entry is free. A copy of the schedule is posted to all members in good time for the show. Entries are also open to non-members, you can request a schedule from Alan Lang, Show Secretary, tel: 01564 773128 or by email.


There will be open competitions at all evening events. Points are accumulated through the year and trophies awarded in five categories listed below. Prizes will be awarded at the December talk. At this meeting there will also be two photographic competitions - why not bring along a photograph of a garden scene and / or a close up of any flora? Photo's can be taken at home or abroad, in your garden or anyone else's. Garden tokens will be awarded to the winners!

Some of our members have won prizes for the best kept plot in the Borough! Keep an eye on the Solihull MBC website for information about the competition which takes place during April or May each year. It usually comes under the heading Solihull in Bloom
